The World Going Down and
We're Going Up!

Picture
It was in 1999, when the Holy Spirit began to speak to me saying, "While the world is going down, we (God's people) will be going up!"  I was thrilled to shout it from the house-tops all around the world, and I continue shouting it today!  "While the world goes down, we are going up!"  Hallelujah!

It was in 1999 that the Holy Spirit spoke to me about the decline of the dollar, and how it would lose its coveted position as the world standard currency, around 2010 or 2011.  I have shared this many times, not exactly certain of the date; but now we see that it could happen at any time.  Whether or not it happens this year, it is racing toward that end.  It has already been damaged beyond recovery.  It was in 2004, that the Holy Spirit spoke to me indicating that within three to five years following, the US would enter a financial crisis from which it would never recover.  That financial crisis began to show up four years later with the housing finance debacle in 2008.  It will never recover.

When He said, "While the world's going down, we (God's people) will be going up," He did not mean that we will be in charge of all the money.  He meant that we would begin to take on the fullness of Jesus Christ!  He will begin to sustain and uphold us with His hand in a way that will cause us to rejoice, and that will get the world's attention.  We are already seeing it in our lives!  This does not mean that we will not see trials again, but it does mean that those trials will not overtake us as easily as before.  PTL!!!  HE will under-gird us in a way that we are not accustomed!  Hallelujah!

It is when we stand upon the Rock of Truth in Jesus Christ, that we remain strong when the world around us is falling.  It is more than just a saying.  It is a reality that awaits those who seek truly to be filled with Him in these last days!

As you see the world collapse around you, please do not chase after it, lest you go down with it!

"Salvation comes through a cross and a crucified Christ."         Andrew Murray

I would add to what bro. Murray said by saying, "Salvation comes through a cross and one's own crucified life."  It is not one's own crucified life that saves him, but it his own crucified life that allows him the benefit of salvation through Christ crucified.

Jesus said, "And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it." Matt. 10:38-39

Another Diversion From God's Way

Picture
Like most Christians, I am thrilled to hear some outstanding leaders sincerely call for a solemn assembly and repentance.  Such is the case with American Family Radio and Gov. Rick Perry, of Texas.  Who would not want to see the godly conscience of mainstream America restored; and who could condemn such an effort as is being put on for the Houston event call for prayer on August 6th?  Notwithstanding, at the expense of losing a substantial number of friends of The Father's Field Ministries, I am compelled to say that while it sounds good, it is a diversion from what God really would have His people doing at this time.  The focus of repentance in this hour, must be upon the church itself.  The church will never come to true repentance while it chases after its rescue through any secular nation - not even America. It is disappointing to me due to the fact that while the church is caught up in a call for national restoration, it will not listen to what the Spirit is actually saying.  Last year, the hope was in mid-term elections.  This year, it is a call to solemn assembly.  Next year, it will be the hope for a change in the White House and Congress.  As long as there is a thread of hope in what the people of God are comfortable with, they will not listen and respond positively to the Spirit of God.  His message calls us apart from the world and mainstream Christianity unto Himself.  This is a much more difficult task than loading on a bus and heading for a mass gathering in Houston.  I do not condemn those who are sincere in heart and mind; but I am saddened that when they are caught up in the activity, their attention from God's perfect will and way for this hour, is diverted.  Is anyone listening?

The Fundamental Problem
from "A Word From the Spirit of the Lord to the Churches"  by: Mark S. Case 2003

"A fundamental problem leading to many grievous errors that subvert truth in the church today has to do with our misunderstanding of the world's kingdom as it relates to God's kingdom.

When the Lord prayed, 'Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven' (Matthew 6), He was not implying that we should make the world's kingdom Christian, as good as that may sound to the natural mind.  It is impossible to make the world's kingdom Christian.  Until Jesus comes again, the world's domains will not cease being under Satan and the strong influence of that prince of the power of the air.  Therefore, even though Christian influence can be injected into the world system, and should be, that system cannot possibly become altogether Christian."  read more

How to Influence Our Nation for God

Picture
Jesus Christ did not attempt to transform the Roman government at all.  Neither did He instruct His followers to do so.  Paul's few attempts to do so, believing that He was led by the Spirit of the Lord, also proved fruitless; and not a single scripture indicates that any of the other apostles took on this method for "winning" the world.  Notwithstanding, I do not believe for even a moment that the lack of Biblical illustrations on the subject of Christian influence through secular governments means that we are not to bear witness of Jesus Christ to authorities; but I do believe that the little importance given to that method, as opposed to the overwhelming importance given to the method of growing into spiritual maturity as a Christian body, should tell us something else - that we are to influence all people toward God through the mighty life of Jesus Christ lived through us as He really is, and not that we are to represent Him to government authorities as mere lobbyists.  We are called to be Christ' ambassadors, not Christian lobbyists.  There is a great difference between the two.

The Problem With Christians Coming Together for National Repentance

  • The problem is not that Christians want to see their nation acknowledge God again.  The problem is that Christians are holding to a historical Jesus in one hand, and to a present America in the other.  They want to inject a historical Jesus into a present-day America.
  • The problem is not that Christians want to see their nation come to repentance.  The problem is that they are calling a secular nation to repentance when they refuse to come to repentance themselves.
  • The problem is not that Christians want to see their nation prosper.  The problem is that prosperity has never produced spiritual maturity.  Without spiritual maturity, everyone suffers, within and without the body of Christ.

The only way for healing of any nation is for the body of Christ to come to the maturity of Jesus Christ - His fullness.  Until then, everything else is a substitute.

The Only Way to Healing and Wholeness

Picture
God has made a way for healing for all who desire to be whole.  This healing is for the spirit of man, for his soul, and for his body.  That way of healing is simply to look to His Son, Jesus Christ; but with more than a casual glance.  Looking to Jesus Christ for healing was first illustrated through an experience in which Israel encountered God while the Old Covenant was still intact. You may read the Biblical account in the book of Numbers, chapter twenty-one.  To be healed on that particular occasion, God's people were required to look up at a serpent that God told Moses to "make and set up on a pole" for all to see.  Upon taking a look at the serpent, the people were healed.  Each one, one by one, looked upon the serpent on the pole and was healed.  There is much that may be taught and learned from this experience - a type of what Jesus Christ would be for all the world through His having been lifted up on a cross; but we will simply point out one truth here (John 3:14).  Under the New Covenant, a look at Jesus brings healing and wholeness to the whole man - spirit, soul, and body.  But absolute (complete and continuing) wholeness involves more than just a casual glance at Him.  A glance at the serpent on a pole in the wilderness was just a type of the look at Christ that we would need to take if we would be made completely whole by Him and continue in that wholeness.  A whole-life experience with Him is the kind of look that we need for whole-life healing and wholeness.  This comes only through the whole-life experience in a truly spiritually maturing church relationship - NOT church as we know it.  A truly spiritually maturing church will hardly resemble what we have assumed to be "church" through all centuries past.  Wholeness for God's people is the primary reason for the collective gathering and maturing of the members of His body on earth to begin with, and for the healing and wholeness that it produces for all.  It simply does not exist on a scale large enough to measure.  I have tasted it, but I have never really seen it; but it DOES await us!

All say they want to be healed, and most say they grieve over a lost and dying humanity, sickened in spirit, soul, and body.  Most would agree that they want others healed, too.  If genuine concern is allowed to motivate us to genuine action, we can see healing and wholeness for all who will look to Him; but it is through our action that the challenge comes.  The challenge is for us to become just as He is, so that we may truly administer His healing.  This challenge is met only as the collective members of His body on earth become His fullness.  The primary reason Christians suffer from sickness and sadness - spirit, soul, and body - as they do is that the body of Christ, designed by God for our healing and wholeness, has never matured to become even as He is.  This is the primary gift and call through our ministry to you - to help you understand how far we have missed it, and how we may go there from here.  We pray that you will have eyes to see and ears to hear what a glorious healing and wholeness is awaiting you and all others like you... through becoming the fullness of Christ as His body on earth!

For Those Who Understand the Problem...

Let us genuinely seek the solution in whole, and not just in part. It is true. In order to solve a problem, we must realize that there is a problem, first; and with problems as complex as those within Christianity - problems nearly two thousand years in the making -  we need to dissect and evaluate how we arrived to where we are today.  Then, we can see more clearly to "lay the axe to the root of the tree."

Seeing clearly and cutting off only begins the journey to solving the problem, however.  More than critics, we must continue forward in the way that we should go, too!  Constructive criticism plays a vital role, but reconstructive action is the most important!  Let us be honest about asking ourselves if we are also seeking to reconstruct according to His design.

From Roman Catholicism, to Orthodoxy, to State Church, to Protestantism, to Modern Evangelicalism - the American Model, until finally.... the "Fullness of Christ"!

Picture
For well over a thousand years, what were considered “good churches” were ruled by Roman popes; and anyone who didn’t cooperate was persecuted, or even martyred.  Hundreds of millions of souls marched to the pope’s religious drumbeat, and most were fully convinced that they were doing God service.  Now, approximately five hundred years after the big break-up in Rome, hundreds of millions of us realize that they were deceived all along.

Granted, a few truths mined from the word of God by the protestors of Rome, are priceless.  But maturity in those discoveries is what we still lack.  For this reason, our situation is very much the same today as it was before reform, just re-packaged.  Nearly five hundred years down the road of Protestantism, the tinseled glitter that we bear has left us all but completely blind and naked spiritually, just as it did churches of centuries past.  We have a thousand versions of evangelical religion.  Hundreds of millions follow blindly, convinced that they are doing God service.  Indeed, Protestantism has become a myriad of religious orders.  There are lords, lords, and more lords in every organized religious circle; and there are Old Covenant laws and practices that permeate today’s evangelical denominations – some carried over from the church in Rome.  All these aid in destroying the work of God’s Spirit among His New Covenant people, and all are racing toward a major correction by God Himself.
Stay tuned, the fullness of Christ is coming!

Good Observation, Richard!

Bro. Richard Herring says, "Churches assume wrongly that education (Sunday School) and discipleship, are one and the same."

I believe bro. Richard spoke volumes through this simple statement.  To be discipled includes teaching, but educating someone does not make them a disciple.  To disciple someone involves a literal walk through the whole-life experience.

This is how Jesus made disciples.  It is what John the Baptist did, and it is what we must do if we are to make disciples of Jesus Christ.  We must live His life, and walk others through that same life experience, teaching as we go.  It is giving one's life for another.  It involves personal relationship by faith in love.  It is costly, but it is eternally rewarding.  Thanks Richard, for this reminder that to truly disciple someone, involves much more than Sunday School.

“Great cathedrals and costly houses of worship dazzle our eyes and stir the wonder of the passerby; mighty throngs stream through their aisles every Sabbath; and yet there is a situation that chills the hearts of many of God’s wisest servants.  It is a good time to inquire, ‘Where is the Lord God of Elijah?’”                                    Rev. To Think About
by: Mark Case

  • Now is not the time for mincing words; it is not the time for bashful men to preach, who fear other men more than they fear God.
  • Satan’s battle is on two fronts, but his focal point has always been on the children of God.
  • Satan knows that when we are truly strong in Christ, then much of the lost world will come to Christ!
  • All believers want to “see” Him, but fewer are ready to “meet” Him!

Do You Know What You Believe?

The English language is arguably the most widely used language throughout the modern world. It has been passed down through countless generations, existing in many cultures, and traveling over land and sea to be spoken on many different continents. Certainly not the oldest language, but without question it’s well established and has taken root in our modern times. read more

Understand Substitution, and Receive Pardon               Romans 5:6-12

Picture
GREAT NEWS!  If only we would understand it and receive it!

Oh, saints!  How good it is to get a grip on what Christ Jesus has done for us by having become our substitute; and oh, how sweet it is to know what it is to be pardoned!  Let us think about it for just a moment, then let us meditate on it for a lifetime!

The English word "substitution" is not used commonly among Bible translations, but it is clearly a Biblical term.  Substitution is as appropriate a term to use when explaining the way of salvation as are terms like righteousness, justification, sanctification, atonement, propitiation, and glorification.  It is the most fitting and common English word that we have for sharing what Jesus Christ has done for humanity.  It is closely associated with the strong Biblical terms "atonement" and "propitiation," which are very important but are not commonly used in our modern language, however.   On the other hand, the word substitute in English is commonly known to simply mean…….. well, substitute!

Absolute Necessity of the Spirit's Anointing to Carry Out His Work

Picture
Oh, brothers and sisters!  Let us never underestimate the need for the ever-present Person and work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.  It is absolutely necessary that He be the author of all our doing, if we are to expect to be truly fruitful and fruit-filled.  It is impossible for man to do God's work except, of course, when God uses us in spite of us; and what child of God wants to be used only through our resistant will?  None, I hope!   read more

"Christian unity is oneness of the church with Jesus Christ, fashioned after the oneness existing between the Father and the Son; oneness of motive, oneness of purpose, oneness of desire, oneness of effort, oneness of interest, oneness of sympathy, and oneness of love; a workable, brotherly, heartfelt and eye-seen Christian unity as broad as the life of Jesus Christ."  click here

One mighty, Holy Spirit-led revival will destroy more unbelief, will do more to silence the gibing, questioning, sneering brood of half-baked skeptics that have grown out of the attempt to destroy the supernatural, than all our books and arguments will do in a hundred years."   click here

This is one message that you do not want to miss!

In 1998, the Spirit of the Lord began to show Bro. Case that He was going to begin to do a cleansing work among His own people; and that work would prepare them for His soon return.  In the summer of 2003, after preaching in churches of several nations, this message of God's cleansing was put into print!

It spells out indictments against most churches of this present day, and the hope that will follow our cleansing by fire!

HEADLINES:
MANY CHRISTIANS CONTINUE TO "FARE SUMPTUOUSLY," EVEN AFTER DIRECT WARNINGS FROM GOD'S SON!

Amazingly enough, many who call themselves by His name still forsake His truth about self-love.  Even though God sent His only begotten Son to plainly instruct us in brotherly love and kindness, many still hold to their own selfish lusts.  Penance offerings are the norm. Whatever is given is done primarily to soothe the conscience for all that is kept.  I want to remind them that the story of Ananias and Sapphira was not a fairy tale (Acts 5).  Among the millions who call themselves "Christians," implying that they are followers of Jesus Christ, there are at least hundreds of thousands in America alone who still protect and expand their own personal earthly safety nets and opportunities for pleasure through fat bank accounts. As long as the tithe law is adhered to, most church leaders leave their parishioners' overflow alone.  Since the modern church has so many Old Covenant characteristics, it is easy to fall back on this.  These church-goers are well aware of the terms of the New Covenant, yet they continue in Old Covenant principles for personal convenience.  The Old Covenant was an earthly type and shadow of the New and was much inferior to it.  However, the mark of God's blessing under the Old Covenant was sometimes determined by accumulated financial wealth (see the promises to Abraham and to Israel).  Though much inferior to the realities of a supernatural life through Christ which comes by identifying with Him in a daily crucified self-life, the safety and comfort that worldly wealth offers make it quite convenient for New Covenant believers to identify with the Old.

Notice this one of several teachings of our Lord on this subject: "There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.' But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.' Then he said, 'I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house, for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.' Abraham said to him, 'They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.' And he said, 'No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.' But he said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead' "  (Luke 16:19-31 NKJV).

Spiritual Thoughts that Complement Articles in this Site: by Mark S. Case

Tall Tales of Torah Teachers - "Many have erroneously placed the Holy Spirit in the shadows of Torah. Amazing!"

Where's the Beef? - "At this very moment, the whole world is a ticking time bomb; and when men should be able to look to Christ as their strength and shield, it is found that among most of those who claim to be His very own people, He appears to be without authority or power."

Embellishing is Foolish - "The way of faith will not cease until we see Him.  We should be cautious about our predictions of the future, even though we agree that He is revealing the events of the days ahead with greater understanding.  Too much confidence in what we believe to be just around the corner may lead to big surprises for which our faith was not properly prepared."

Think You're in a "Good Church" - "The Glorious Church is that one that will walk in 'the fullness of Christ,' even as Christ walked in the express image of His Father" (Ephesians 4:13, Hebrews 1:1-3).

After 2,000 Years of Failure - "The correct way for the construction and development of Christ's body (the local church) is simple to understand and to bring about, but it involves personal disciplines of discipleship that only a few God-called leaders are willing to walk in.  It is clearly spelled out in the scriptures, and there is no need for conjecture about it."

Amazing Grace! How Sweet the Sound! - "His corralling of us was not so simple as we may sometimes imagine.  The fact that we suddenly found ourselves captive by His grace is not a little thing, nor is it to be thought of lightly.  For most of us, He used countless people, things, situations and circumstances all around us for years (perhaps for generations) in order to guide each one of us into the safety of His sheepfold. Hallelujah!  Oh, hallelujah!"

Worried about Rattling Swords? - "So it is with Russia, Iran, China and many throughout our own nation, especially in Washington.  The blatant pride that has filled the hearts of leadership among all nations, that they should raise a hand against God's chosen ones - be it natural Israel, or the Israel of faith (true followers of Christ) - will surely bring utter destruction upon their heads."

Yes!  It DOES Matter How We Live It! - "One of the greatest problems in the church today is that it has preached another gospel (Galatians 1:6-9).  So much of this other gospel comes by the lack of understanding of our positional state as it relates to our conditional state.  We have been taught that, due to our position, our condition is of little importance.  How absurd!  Did the fact that Jesus Christ was God's Son excuse Him from being conditioned by His Father?  I think not!  (Hebrews 5:8, 12:11) I appeal to you, fellow believer.  If we have been so overpowered by His grace that now we are positioned in Christ, we should not fail to make it all the more easy for Him to condition us through His continuing work of grace!"

Oh, Really? - "Are you resolved to remain strong in Him, or will you sway with the temptation to deny Him?  Perhaps you should not be so quick to answer that question.  The apostle Peter quickly swore that he would NEVER forsake the Lord, even if it meant his death; but he just as quickly failed when his time of testing came. His outspoken failure to perform was due to a lot of zeal yet to be tested.  Is your zeal tested?"

98% Say "God is Good!" - "The Bible. Through this single, stand-alone record of God's revelation to man, we learn as much about our utter depravity as we do about God's absolute goodness.  There are many who confess God's absolute goodness, assuming that such a confession will give them His approval. To the contrary, His real favor is realized when we begin to confess our utter depravity."

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness - "As a child of God, my right to life is granted when I die to myself; my right to liberty is granted within the confines of living the life of Jesus Christ; and my right to pursue happiness is granted by pursuing what makes God happy. Thank God that He led America's founders to establish a secular government protecting the God-given rights of all people, but let us not confuse human freedoms with our freedoms in Christ as those born again... into the family of God."

God Reveals Secrets

Picture

"He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him." Daniel 2:22 NKJV

There are many details yet to be known and understood about the many characters, nations and events of these last days. God does reveal His secrets in His time, however, according to His own will.  Probably, most things we will not know for sure until they are actually made a reality.  This is the way of God in revealing most things to us as we go through life - revealing step by step.   It is the way of faith.  For this reason, we should be careful about being too sure of our theories and "revelations."  Here are a couple of perspectives that I think the Lord may have been showing me lately.  There are more, but these are succinct and worthy to consider.

Whatever happened to the simplicity and sufficiency of Christ?

Plain and Simple

"Then God said, 'Let us make man in our own image, according to our likeness...'"                  Genesis 1:26

God created humankind by His own design, in His likeness and image. If we had continued in perfect obedience to Him, His likeness would have remained complete. But God gave us a will to choose whether we would remain as He is, or whether we would remake ourselves, by ourselves. By choosing our own will, we were choosing to take on a new inward nature also -   designed after Satan, the great tempter and deceiver of men. In an instant, we changed to be distinctively different from God - separating ourselves from Him.  We became the slaves of the one we chose to obey. We allowed Satan to lead us astray with His offer to make us "equal" with God.  We were not satisfied in simply being "like" Him.

What about introducing and entertaining ideas for fixing the local church? Ephesians 1-6

There are no adequate substitutes for the establishment and development of the local church body as God planned it from the beginning.  There are substitutes, but not adequate substitutes.  If the Lord has planted you in a local church, be thankful.  If there are problems, pray in earnest and do your part in being the change that you know God desires to see.  If you are not in a local church, pray that He will raise up a church as He designed it, and then look for it, waiting patiently on Him.

Also, be certain that He hasn't called you to be a part of planting a local body in your house. It could be that you are the hold-up to the progress that He wants to make through you.

It could be that your resentfulness toward "church" has kept you isolated and alone.  On the other hand, it could also be that He has called you out for a season.  He has called out many of His people throughout the centuries.  The most persecuted Christians were those whom He had called out of mainstream Christianity.  Wait patiently for Him.  He is going to restructure the whole establishment soon. We will become a living organism of the Spirit of Christ, rather than just an organization with only a touch of His influence.

Sincere believers have introduced and entertained a thousand ideas to heal, fix, sort, establish, group, and grow the local church body.  Most of them are regurgitated from ideas of decades and even centuries past.  All of them miss the mark and add to the confusion.

Men and women of every generation have claimed visions, dreams, and revelations that they strongly believe in and promote to fix the body of Christ.  Their discoveries are passed around for all to discuss, conjecture, meditate on, etc., and none has accomplished the goal – the spiritual fullness of Christ for which the body exists.

The correct way for the construction and development of Christ's body to be accomplished is simple to understand and to bring about, but it involves challenges and personal discipline of discipleship that few God-called leaders are willing to accept and to walk in.  It is clearly spelled out in the scriptures, and there is no need for conjecture about it.  Simply put – One, God gifts and calls His leaders; Two, they simply surrender to their various leadership roles, and God brings those together who should be with them; Three, the Holy Spirit demonstrates Himself accordingly, and the various members are built up into His image together.

There it is, plain and simple.  In the same way that the opportunity for salvation is plain and simple, so is the opportunity for maturing in Christ after the initial salvation gift has been given. One realizes that he is lost, that he truly desires to be saved, and that from the heart he must "repent and believe the gospel."  It is that simple; but it is not necessarily easy.

"Simple" does not necessarily mean "easy."  The plan is simple to understand and to be brought about by God; but it is not easy for the members in that it requires personal surrender.  With personal surrender, however, salvation is simply received; and maturity follows by continued surrender – though neither one is necessarily easy.

Again, the scriptures clearly show that the establishment and maturity of the local church body is as follows: first, those who are gifted and called to lead surrender and begin leading; second, those gifted and called to join in surrender also, and meet together.  There it is, plain and simple, though not easy.

The Holy Spirit establishes the local church body through His gifts and callings given to men and women; then He calls those together whom the Father has chosen, and through time and experience in Him they mature together into the likeness of Christ.  No fanfare.  No large crowds. No heroic fixing of the body citywide/nationwide.  No boasting in a man, a program, an idea – just a handful of believers coming together by God's design, growing into His image. However, it is too simple and it requires too much surrender to ever be realized by the average believer.

Since this process does not in any way incorporate man’s ideas, and it is not easy, it is rarely seen; but it IS the only way according to the scriptures.  Every other way will only provide a partial illustration of Christ.  Ten thousand "ideas" have been introduced and entertained, but none has sufficed, and none ever will.  Do we not recall that it was from the input of “Christian” men that denominations and other unwanted divisions came?

Now, when one who is gifted and called to lead steps up to the plate and surrenders to God and His people within the context of God's command for him, THEN others will follow.  God WILL plant them together, and together they have the opportunity to become the fullness of Christ.  That is the only way; and it is as near a reality as there is leadership that is willing to surrender.

As it was in Israel under the Old Covenant, so it is today.  Men who are called to lead are too busy living their own lives to become a sacrifice for leading God's sheep.  Many whom God has appointed and gifted for leadership are playing in their own little worlds.  Thus His sheep are scattered without shepherds.  Others of those God-called leaders are following their own beliefs about how things should be done and busy themselves with forms of assembly that can never possibly measure up.

In the meantime, millions of God’s sheep wander around confused and deceived, wounded and hurting, broken and hungry.

If you are a God-called leader for His body, would you please consider offering yourself as a sacrifice to feed His sheep? If you are already leading but in a form introduced by men, would you please consider what the scriptures clearly show and allow Him to be "formed in you" and in those God has given you?

In Consideration of Real Revival

Don't Say You Were Not Warned

Here we are – the very last generation of believers of the two thousand-year church age – literally watching earth-shattering prophecies being fulfilled that were given two, three, and four thousand years ago!  Amazing!  Unbelievable for most – but true!

Like the prophets of old, I am sickened as I scan TV or the Internet for the most popular preachers.  Some continue to worship in the stale forms of their dead traditions; some claim to teach on the “cutting edge” by adapting to the world’s culture; others literally worship the old America, hanging on to her for dear life; some have turned back to worship Israel and Judaism; and some of the most popular preachers continue to do as they have always done – give baby’s milk to adults who should have long ago grown to a maturity that demands meat.  There are those who “prophesy” by the numbers, mesmerizing thousands; there are those who teach a restored world before Jesus comes; there are those classic “prosperity” preachers who have been around since New Testament Church times; and then there are those personal kingdom-building types who use the scriptures to devise their own doctrines in order to capture and capitalize on whomever they may draw by their enticing words - such are the "fathering," shepherding" movements.

As it has been since Paul's day and down through these last two thousand years, there are only a precious few who actually seek to live the Christ-life and who proclaim His truth.  There are only a few who truly feed the sheep, and who know and declare the Word of the Lord for this present hour – the last hours of this age.  There are only a handful who are willing to come together as God plants them, pressing in to becoming His fullness.

What and who are you listening too, and how are you responding to your "First Love"?

To Co-laborers in the Gospel of Jesus Christ,

Average-thinking American Christians had better be willing to adjust voluntarily their understanding of Christianity, or they will be forced to by “shock and awe.”  The reality is that current spokesmen who lead the way for the multitudes on the hillside of our modern Christian world have failed to excite a more authentic faith.  By stretching and bending Truth in order to stay in tune with the world’s godless masses, they have deflated the potency of the gospel message that not only saves, but that also leads to spiritual maturity; and since that uncompromising gospel Truth is the only hope for mankind, those of us with eyes to see and ears to hear had better seriously reconsider whether or not we should adopt culture-driven agendas that may be knocking on our door.  Those kinds of programs are short-lived at best, and they usually do not reflect the Truth of the gospel.  They may fly the banner of Jesus and proclaim a measure of His kingdom message, quickly filling the hillside just as He did, but because of the lack of substantive change in the lives of the listeners, the message has to be soon replaced by yet another cliché-driven program to re-excite the multitude.  If a leader doesn’t change quickly or correctly enough to suit the culturally moving crowd, the people will move from one hillside to the other (church to church) seeking what they want.  Statistics clearly show that countless pastors are frustrated and dismayed, and all too often they just give up.

The only answer is to forsake our cultural trends in Christian understanding and action and to return to Truth.  At this very moment, the whole world is a ticking time bomb; and when men should be able to look to Christ as their strength and shield, they find that, within His own people, He appears powerless and unstable, just like the waves of the sea.  There is much to be done, and most of it involves rethinking, repenting, and real revival through renewal in the Person and work of the Holy Spirit.  There is NO other way.  The Spirit of the Lord is ready and waiting.  I strongly encourage you to “listen to what THE SPIRIT IS SAYING to the churches,” and not to men.

Matthew 16:18 NKJV  "And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it."

Ephesians 4:13 NKJV "...till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ..."

II Corinthians 11:2 NKJV "For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ."

The Middle East Unleashed!

Picture

The stage is rapidly being set for all nations surrounding Israel to come against her!   Prophecies more than twenty-five hundred years old are about to be fulfilled right before our eyes! Oh, how we need to pray as the prophet Habakkuk did.

"Oh Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! ...in wrath remember mercy"  (Hab.3:2 NKJV).

Approximately ten years ago, I perceived the Holy Spirit showing me it would be in the autumn of 2011 that the antichrist would be revealed.  I have shared this openly but cautiously for many years.  With the rapid escalation of unrest, and the subsequent community of radical Islam unleashed, one can see how the sudden need for a peacemaker between Israel and those nations surrounding her may soon be filled. Could this be the year that the antichrist is revealed?  It is very possible, indeed!

Many strategic prophecies that I perceived the Spirit giving through me concerning the United States and the Middle East have been fulfilled already.  For example:

1. That some of North Korea's nuclear facilities would be taken out in a secret mission in one night.  This was fulfilled by Israel against North Korea's secret installation in Syria in 2008.
2. That Iran's nuclear facilities would be surgically attacked by either Israel and the United States, setting it back for about three years. This was fulfilled by Israel working with the United States through a secret cyber attack on Iran's nuclear facilities just about two months ago.
3. That the US dollar would lose single world-currency standard (hegemony) status in either 2010 or 2011.  This is obviously in the midst of becoming a reality right now.

4. That the 2008 US presidential election would be completely illegal, but that there would be nothing anyone could do about it. This was fulfilled with the election of our current president.

Many other prophecies the Lord fulfilled. Am I certain that the antichrist will be revealed this year as I perceived the Spirit showing me many years ago?  I do not know for sure.  But I am sure that the average American Christian is not ready for whatever is about to take place.

I Peter 1:13 NKJV
"Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ..."

What is the "glorious church?"

"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish." Ephesians 5:25-27 NKJV

The glorious church is the bride that Christ has prepared for Himself to wed, after He comes to take her out of the earth to His heavenly abode.

Today, many members of what shall become the glorious church are in waiting, but we are not yet glorious!  Many of us are hurting, troubled, confused, scattered, bruised, undernourished, sick and broken.  The reason for this is that for centuries we have been married to another - a Hagar, if you will - the Hagar of a religious ideology absent of the leadership of the life of God through Jesus Christ and His Spirit.

The word "glory," as it refers to God and godliness, means "to show" God. Thus, the glorious church will show God, all the time, everywhere.

The glorious church will be that one that walks in the "fullness of Christ," even as He walked in the fullness of His Father.  Jesus Christ on earth was "the brightness of His [Father's] glory and the express image of His person..." (Heb. 1:1-3). He was God with us, Emmanuel.  He was the Word of God (that is, the fullness of God's will, or the righteousness of God) made flesh. He was one with the Father and His Spirit and possessed the Spirit of His Father without measure.  He always did what His Father told Him to do, and only that.  He said what His Father told Him to say, and only that.  In brief, Jesus was a perfect reflection of His Father, doing His perfect will, and only His will.

This is a fair description of the church that God is making glorious, as distinct from the one that we have made after our own understanding.  We will be the "fullness of Christ," the "brightness of His (Father's) glory, and the express image of His person."  We will be as Emmanuel to the world (God in the world).  We will be as the Word made flesh and one with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  We will do what the Father tells us to do and say what He tells us to say, and only that.

This is a picture of the glorious church!

It is simply the manifestation of what God has already made us to be by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.  As born-again believers, citizens of the Kingdom of God and members of His family, we are the righteousness of God in Christ; and with that old man having been crucified with Christ and buried with Him in baptism, we CAN walk in newness of life. As the glorious church, we will do just that!

"An astonishing and horrible thing has been committed in the land: the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own power; and My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?" Jeremiah 5:30-31 NKJV

When analyzing the stability or the lack thereof of world economies, followers of Jesus Christ must consider one essential question that the average analyst does not take into account.  "How do all things line up with God's timetable?"  From a worldly point of view, economies and governments will go on forever.  Forecasts never cease.  But for the one who knows better, he waits and watches for the coming day when God's timetable arrives to the place where He is ready for all to give an account.

QUOTE OF THE YEAR
by yours truly

"Before you allow some "teacher" to lead you on an extended tour of the Old Covenant, let his personal testimony speak loudly that he is well grounded in the New!"

Your brother?

By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.

"And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise."  Luke 10:30-37

His Work Must Be By His Spirit, Still

It is through Jesus Christ and by His Spirit that we have been delivered from an unprotected habitation and brought inside His safe habitation – a shelter especially designed for those born of His Spirit; it was by His Spirit and His spiritually anointed Word that we were born again and made new spiritual creatures; it is by His Spirit that we live in Him and give His life; it is by His Spirit that we are instructed to pray, to act, and even to walk; it is by His Spirit that we have the law of God and are enabled to obey it; it is by the obedience of faith and by His Spirit's revelation to the first apostles and prophets that we know the way and have taken our place on the foundation of Jesus Christ, who is also the Chief Cornerstone; it was by God's Spirit that this perfect Cornerstone was perfectly cut from His mountain and laid; it is through this spiritual Cornerstone that the whole spiritual structure is built up and is being held together; it is by His Spirit that we are made living stones as He is; it is by His Spirit that we are presently growing into a Holy temple that is becoming a perfect dwelling place for the Father in the Spirit; it is by His Spirit that we discern all things that He would have us to know that come from the Father and His Son Jesus Christ; it is by His Spirit that we are equipped and built up in Him unto the complete measure of the stature of Jesus Christ... and the list goes on. We have begun by His Spirit, and if we shall be finished it shall be by His Spirit. It is by His Spirit that we have been called from the open plains, steep cliffs, and deep valleys of darkness into the sacred place where only the family of God is allowed to go. Not only have we been called by Him, but we have actually been acquired by Him, and that by nothing of our own doing; we have simply surrendered to the terms of His acquisition.

We have been corralled – corralled and sealed (branded) by His Spirit through His steadfast determination to do so and His unfailing love for us. Not only did He call us into His sheepfold, but He used countless things around us to guide and to gather us to the place of our calling. Through this initial work of gathering we have been separated unto Him so that He might continually lavish His love upon us apart from the masses. He desires to pour upon us every spiritual blessing that is found in heavenly places. And through this gathering process He has transferred us to His own place so that we might have the right to become recipients of the outpouring of His Spirit.

A specific objective in the outpouring of His Spirit upon us is that we are changed into His perfect likeness, thereby making a perfect dwelling place for His Father in the Spirit. This is why the Church must be a spiritual Church. It is all a continuing, unhindered work of His Spirit for Him.

As We Gather
by Mark Case

"The local church is to be a beautiful tapestry of the manifold grace of God; yet grand as that may sound, simply put, it is His spiritual house on earth.  The Bible says that each local gathering should be God's expression of Himself through the Spirit.  It is only by His Spirit that this beautiful tapestry of His manifold grace comes and abides; and it is through the holy (set apart) members of His body that His Spirit works.  True holiness makes way for the abiding presence and power of His Spirit.  Whole-life holiness to the Lord is the open door of hospitality that we give for the Spirit's entrance.  Without this we cannot expect to properly house Him, and we cannot expect to illustrate the glories of His manifold gifts of grace.

"True holiness is not something that can be imposed on anyone. It cannot be legislated into anyone through laws, creeds or commandments.  One can be required to perform an outward show of holiness by agreeing to obey specific rules set forth in the body; but as it was under the Old Covenant and still is, obedience to commandments written on stone may or may not lead to true holiness from the heart.  It is holiness from the heart that makes for His abiding.  Thus, we must pursue His holiness from the heart and help others in their pursuit of the same by living this example before them."

God Has Promised!

"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it." Numbers 23:19-20

"And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it." I Thessalonians 5:23-24

"Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted. But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me." Isaiah 49:13-16

Preparing the Physical for Times of Unstable Transitions

Picture
It should go without saying that our preparation should be spiritual, first and foremost.

I believe that the Lord alerted me to prepare staple goods to have available for bridging a few days at a time, or even a few weeks. When these disasters begin to strike, those who have prepared a few weeks' worth of food, water, toilet articles, and even basic medical supplies will be able to pass more easily through temporary interruptions.

Do not rest on what I may be led to do, however.  You seek what He would have you to do, if anything.  I am preparing these few things because I believe that it is simply a wise thing to do.  It does not stir panic; it is easy; it is not expensive; it is not a "hording," but a reasonable preparation.  It will provide some basic essentials not only for my own family, but also for others who will not have prepared.  These things will help us through transition to a deeper faith walk.

Again, I believe that, for those long seasons of calamity, the Lord wants us to look to Him and to Him alone for glorious provision and protection.  We should be careful not to store up as if we are determined to depend on the arm of the flesh at a time when He wants to grow our faith in trusting Him for the impossible.  He will supply and protect.

Most of all, each one should do as the Lord directs; but let there be no doubt about it - much greater disasters are prophesied.

True Believers Should Resist Some Things While Pursuing Others

RESIST THESE TEMPTATIONS:
1. Resist the temptation to stay married to traditional religious forms of your Christian church heritage.
2. Resist the temptation to follow modern-culture Christianity.
3. Resist the temptation to follow movements that are mindful not of the will of God but of the will of men.
4. Resist the temptation to believe every wind of doctrine that comes along for your attention.
5. Resist the temptation to love your own life and to defend the life-style that the rest of the world seeks.
6. Resist the temptation to restore an America that God is taking away for the construction of His kingdom.
7. Resist the temptation to join America's citizens in movements that appeal to America's cultural Christianity.

PURSUE THESE THINGS:

1. Pursue His righteous gift through believing faith as God's gift to you through Jesus Christ's finished work.
2. Pursue holy living through continuing repentance from your own will and a constant surrender to His will by the Spirit.
3. Pursue love and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophecy (glorify Him by His power within you).
4. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.
5. Pursue patient endurance through trials while seeking to be delivered ultimately.
6. Pursue mercy in the day of judgment that is approaching so rapidly, and extend mercy to others.
7. Pursue His joy in trial, realizing that you have already been delivered from this world and placed into His kingdom.

Playing Right Into God's Plan

I Chronicles 14:8 NKJV - "Now when the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to search for David. And David heard of it and went out against them."

When King David was seated on the throne over Israel, Israel's enemies could not wait to test his strength.  It is obvious from the record in first Chronicles that Jehovah God had orchestrated this battle.  The Philistines did not have so much as a prayer.  God "put a hook in their jaw," as it were, and drove them to their doom by sending them to face His wrath through the hand of His chosen ones.  And if that was not enough, He did it twice in a row!  Boy!  Were those Philistines dumb, or what?  God gave them not only a spirit to hate His chosen ones, but also a spirit of stupidity!  So he does for all those who boast in their own strength.  Pride always precedes destruction.

So it is with Russia, Iran, China and many throughout our own nation, especially in Washington.  The blatant pride that has filled the hearts of leadership among all nations, that they should raise a hand against God's chosen ones, will surely bring utter destruction upon their heads.  The Father's Field Ministries never suggests or condones physical violence against those who have made themselves enemies with God and His people.  We have been called to save men, not to destroy them.  Notwithstanding, God will even the score in His own way and time.  Let us not forget that it was He who said, "'Vengeance is mine!'  says the Lord."

An Open Letter to Lovers of Israel - God's Very Special People

Friends of The Father's Field Ministries,

I want to encourage all believers to ask the Father for a complete spiritual understanding of "the sufficiency of Christ."  Then I would implore you to accept it and to be content in Him.

There are many true believers today who are persuaded to practice pure idolatry.  Some have no idea that this is what they are doing; but this is the truth. I am not speaking of the kind of idolatry that is among evangelical cultural Christians who worship self by adorning themselves with selfish indulgences.  I am speaking now of a small but growing multitude of very dear believers who really want to be all that God has called them to be - but who also can be persuaded if they are not careful.

A Sure Word of Prophecy

Picture
I would like to bring our attention to a particular scripture that the Holy Spirit has pointed out to me lately. It is especially important in these last days, as the Spirit is giving more and more prophecies to prepare us for the soon coming of our Lord.  If you are one with a gift of prophecy at all, I urge you to consider what the Spirit is saying through the apostle Paul in Romans 12:6.

"Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith..." (NKJV).

I want to specifically draw your attention to where Paul writes that we should prophesy "in proportion to our faith."  This is very important for those with a gift of prophecy to remember, since we sometimes claim that we are speaking directly on behalf of the Lord Himself.  We should continually remind ourselves to take precautions for several reasons.  Here are a few of those reasons:

1. People LOVE to hear prophecy.  Their demand for it and zealous response to it can subtly influence us to go beyond what is really authentic. This is in spite of the fact that we may never intentionally do so.  If you want to get a crowd, just tell them that you are going to prophesy!  WOW!  I have found that those who really chase after what God is saying through prophecy are not usually true disciples of Jesus Christ.

2. Pure prophecy requires that we cautiously guard against personal convictions and beliefs that are not completely substantiated by the scriptures.  Otherwise, we may prophesy things skewed by our own understanding.  It is so easy to mix what God would say with our own blend of knowledge.  Here again, we may be altogether sincere - but sincerely wrong.

3. When we seek to tune into the Lord's voice, the enemy is keen to give us a really close counterfeit. We should always be cautious, but especially when it comes to dates.  There are countless so-called prophets who like to declare the Word of the Lord for a particular calendar year or decade.  I do not say that this is wrong necessarily.  I do say that the Spirit has never led me that way.  I will also say that people LOVE this kind of thing because it is something they can rally around.  I have found through the years that most people never acknowledge whether those things that they rallied around a year earlier ever came true or not.  They just beg for more the next year to "tickle their ears." That is why FALSE PROPHETS commonly prophesy annually.  The Spirit may be leading you to do so, but let us remember that God's timetable and ours are quite different.  How many Bible prophecies can you remember that specified a calendar year?  It certainly was not the norm for God, was it?  That is because this is a modern fad and one that God really may not be the author of at all.

4. It is REALLY EASY to move over into our own imagination while we are in the midst of truly hearing from the Spirit.  This is something that we should really caution ourselves about.  Do NOT go beyond the absolute faith that you have been given - and when you feel necessary to share more specifically than you are certain of, do so by qualifying it.  The apostle Paul wrote on two occasions that when it came to some specifics of particular themes, he did not necessarily speak by the Spirit even though He did have the Spirit.  I cannot emphasize this enough, since it is such a common and almost undiscerning possibility.

Do not let these cautions dissuade you from prophesying if you have that gift.  Only use them as cautions, that you may prophesy according to your faith.  "Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy" (I Cor. 14:1 NKJV).

The State of the Christian Church, 2010

Let us begin by defining a few key terms.

Definition of Terms -
State: the present condition of being

In the case of the church, we must realize that there is both a positional state and a conditional state.  It is God’s intent that the conditional state of the church reflect our positional state, but that is seldom the case.

1.      Positional state of being in Christ (fixed) – this is our state of being as it has been freely given by His grace and our living faith in Jesus Christ.  It is based solely and completely upon His merits.  It is a condition of absolute reconciliation, justification, sanctification, and glorification before God through Christ (
Romans 5:1-2, Galatians 2:16, etc.).

2.
Conditional state as revealed through our actions (wavering) – this is our state of condition in the practical walking out of His life through us on earth, whether good or bad (I Cor. 5:1-2, 6:1-8, Hebrews 6:4-11, etc.).

Our conditional state is primarily influenced by three things, as follows:

a.      His continuing grace working in and through us whether or not we realize that we are cooperating with His will, i.e., God’s sovereign determination to bring us to a place of completion – the fullness of Jesus Christ (Romans 8:28-29, Phil. 1:6).
b.      His occasional, particular initiatives that boost us onward and upward, i.e., periodic revivals of His Spirit about and within us (Book of Acts).
c.      Our living-faith response to each of those inner workings, i.e., our cooperation with His will through the act of simple obedience (II Peter 1:5-11).

Scripture plainly teaches that it is impossible to gain a positional state of being in Christ (salvation) by anything that we do apart from simple believing faith; but it also plainly teaches that the things we do, which determine our conditional state, are critically important to our lives in Christ.  Ideally, our conditional state should show that we are in Christ positionally, since the old man has been crucified with Christ and buried with Him… literally (I Thess. 1:1-10). Nevertheless, as long as we are in this mortal body, the old man will continue in a desperate battle with the new man, so that through various means it might by some means resurrect itself (Romans 6:6,16). When we yield to that old man rising within us, he becomes our master again; and our actions grieve His Spirit’s work within.  If we grieve Him often enough, long enough, we may even quench (extinguish) Him (Ephesians 4:30, I Thess. 5:19).

One of the greatest problems in the church today is that another gospel has been preached (Galatians 1:6-9).  So much of this other gospel comes from the lack of understanding of our positional state as it relates to our conditional state.

The modern church has gone so far out of bounds in a zealous attempt to speak one truth that it has neglected another truth that is vitally important.  Still teaching grace, we emphasize that one’s conditional state (defined by actions) cannot possibly be good enough to gain a positional state (salvation) in Christ, which is true; but also today's Christian leaders have reasoned by their own understanding, concluding that once someone has become a believer, his or her conditional state (result of actions) is of little or no consequence, which is not true.

Thus the message of the church has left off Biblical reprimands, failing to warn the members of His body to walk in obedience to the Father’s will, or else risk suffering serious consequences.  In the place of warning by love, it has favored only
suggesting that one should obey God for the sake of living a happier, fuller, more successful life.  Its mainstream message proclaims loudly that actions are important only for the sake of easing one’s way in and through this life, but not that actions will have any bearing on our relationship with God since we have a position freely given through Christ.  Of course, nothing could be further from the truth! We are clearly warned of this heresy by the Spirit through Paul and other writers of the New Testament. For example, Paul writes to the churches of Galatia, saying: “For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another” (Galatians 5:13 NKJV). Nevertheless, the conditional state of the body of Christ today reveals that it is poverty stricken alongside its positional state.  It is nondiscriminatory in its actions and lost in a world of blatant lasciviousness, unfaithful to God; but it still assumes that all is well!

God is very concerned with this conditional state, but the church is hardly concerned with it at all.  It is only concerned with its positional state, i.e. “getting people saved.” It is this conditional state that I speak of as I seek to lay out in a nutshell The State of the Christian Church in 2010.  It is a grade on our response to God’s initiative through Christ.

"At that time Jesus answered and said, 'I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes.  Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father.  Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.  Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
Matthew 11:25-30 NKJV

Explanation of the Present Dilemma

The word "dilemma" means "a situation requiring a choice between equally undesirable alternatives." That is exactly the situation in which many believers find themselves as we are dismayed over the myriad of gospels being preached from the churches of this modern-church age. But be of good cheer!  Our Lord told us that it would be this way.  In Matthew 13:47-52, we find where He said that in these last days the kingdom of God would be contaminated with a catch of both good and bad, and that at the end of the age they (we) would be sorted out.  Praise the Lord!  Do not be discouraged or dismayed! The Lord is in the process of sorting us all out!  The final sorting will be done by the angels, but He is presently doing a sorting work by His Spirit (Acts 5:1-11; I John 2:18-20, Malachi 3:3-4). So what is the Word for this hour and until Jesus comes?  "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The Spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak" (Matthew 26:41NKJV).

"'Master, which is the great commandment in the law?'
Jesus said unto him,

'Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.'"

"I will make a New Covenant"

Picture
"Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah--not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more." (Jeremiah 31:31-34 NKJV)

Spiritual Psalms and Other Spiritual Thoughts

Picture
Along with musical hymns and spiritual songs, the Spirit of the Lord also inspires psalms (poems) to be spoken.  Throughout the last twenty-five years or so, He has given me several poems that you may find enlightening and encouraging.  I have posted some here, together with a few other inspired poems and spiritual thoughts given to other members of our family.

The Lord left His command with men
To preach Him far and wide
And by their words some men did change
Now in His love abide

With power to heal the sick
And cast out devils too
Many saw their mighty works
But He only chose a few

The few who came bowed the knee
With thanksgiving overflowed...

"Where is the Voice of Truth from the Churches?"

Picture
The voices of prevailing church movements have turned from truth and now only clamor among many other voices in the darkness.  Just like Esau who sold his birthright for a bowl of soup to satisfy his greater god, so the church has sold its birthright for the dollar and all that it will buy - its greater god. The anointing has long left the pulpits of America, and many "believers" realize it but haven't the foggiest idea of what to do about it. Most others do not even recognize it.  This situation is just like that of the most religious ones among the Jews of Ezekiel's day, when the Spirit of God had long left the temple, but they kept right on practicing religion without Him.

There is a great effort by some to restore God-fearing politicians to our various government entities.  This is good and commendable.  However, some assume that true Christianity may be restored through that government; but true Christianity was not designed to be built through any secular system - not even America's system. Those of us who desire to restore godliness to government should, with that desire, prioritize restoring godliness to the Christian church!  It is the responsibility of the local church, working in cooperation with the Holy Spirit and God's Word, to restore truth in Christ to the world.

However, the hour is late, and God is doing a cleansing work in the church that we have built.  It will be restored, but in a completely different shape.  I fear that, like Esau who sought to regain his birthright, even the tears of the current church will not restore her as we are familiar with her in our generation; but JESUS CHRIST is going to build HIS church indeed!  He is about to wring it from the hands of unfaithful men and women!  Out of the rubble of what is about to become the equivalent of the collapse and burn of Solomon's temple in Jerusalem of old, He is going to build a glorious church by His Spirit!

According to God's predetermined timetable, which said that at the end of the age He would shake every kingdom until His will be the only one standing, there is no rebuilding of the America we once knew. God has not forgotten America, however; and He will still work within her midst regardless of calamities that await us. More importantly, though, a brand new, truly Spirit-filled church will rise with another America; but it will not be the America that most Christians clamor for.  It will not be an America free from pain and full of plenty, but rather one of stress and discomfort.  It will be an America, however, that will help the new church become just like Jesus.  Through ridicule and persecution as never before, He will construct us by His Spirit. This is all good for those who long to become like Him.  As we do so, we will be freer than ever before - free indeed!  It will be a Christian freedom that America has never known - with joy unspeakable and full of glory for the first time!  Let us build ourselves up today in "the most holy faith" and be certain that we are prepared for all that He is about to do!

Hymns and Spiritual Songs

Picture
"Therefore He says: "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light." See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God." (Eph 5:14-21)

"Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." (Col 3:12-17)

The Holy Spirit continues to inspire and anoint men, women, boys and girls all over the world to sing!  He truly puts His song into our hearts!  Throughout the centuries He has inspired many songs that we call hymns, and many others that are referred to as spiritual songs.

HYMNS
Usually, hymns have several stanzas and a chorus.  Most of the hymns sung throughout the last century can be traced back to the spirit from which the reformation was shaped.  During that time, there was a desperate cry for sound doctrine to be restored to God's people.  The reformers bravely and boldly began to preach truths about God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, the Holy Spirit, and/or the believer's relationship with them and with one another.  As multitudes of Christians began to experience freedom from Roman Catholicism through the knowledge of the truth in the sixteenth and seventeen centuries, the Holy Spirit inspired many writers to compose music and pen the lyrics to many Biblical based hymns that would also reinforce sound preaching of the Word.  God's people had been shut away from truth for nearly 1500 years and He was revived them first, by truth.

SPIRITUAL SONGS
It was after the truth of His Word was re-established beginning in the 1500s, that the Spirit began to move among God's people more dramatically in the early 1700s.  This is when spiritual songs began to come forth amid the many theological hymns.  Spiritual songs are those songs birthed from the belly that seem to usually direct personal praise to God, whereas the hymns usually declare truths about God - which is also worship.  The combination of the two made for great edification and strength to the body of Christ.  That combination may still bring great edification to the local body of singing worshipers today, depending on whether a worship leader is truly sensitive to the Spirit's leadership in worship to the Father and the Son.  This is the central element: How would the Spirit lead?

The Church through the Ages

Picture
To understand America’s 21st century Christianity, we should take a close look at what the Bible says alongside an honest assessment of our Christian heritage.  That is what I have done here.  Through this unique study, I have attempted to show how the Bible makes clear that the God of the Bible desires that we represent Him as He really is. I have also tried to show how the Bible makes clear that we are a far cry from what He desires; and I have given Biblical evidence that He is fulfilling that desire by changing us into His image at the dawn of His soon return.  The Church through the Ages is my own brief synopsis of a few of the most outstanding religious/spiritual movements down through the centuries of those people who either knew the God of the Bible or who claimed to know Him.  I have divided the church from beginning to end, into ten distinct divisions: The Wilderness Age; The Early Conquering Age; The Kingdom Age; The Early New Testament Age; The Dark Age; The Reformation Age; The Revival Age; The Modern Age; The Current Age; and finally The Coming “Glorious Church” Age.

We will see that man’s wavering reaction to God’s many initiatives has everything to do with our current spiritual climate.  Hopefully, this simple review will be an eye-opener for many, revealing some of the strong but unwarranted underpinnings of our religious traditions not readily seen.  By seriously considering the progressions and/or digressions of God’s people of the past under the illuminating light of His own Words, we can see where we have gotten off track; and hopefully, we will seek to get back on track again.

While many of us already realize that we are off the mark that He set for us, we must acknowledge that God is still working in our generation, having permitted us to know and experience more of His goodness than many of our forefathers.   For example, in earlier times God was not ready to reveal Himself as He does now; and also, through centuries-long religious oppression, God permitted ruthless religious men to dominate His people to a much greater degree than many of us experience today.  Yet in spite of the vast knowledge we have received and our boundless liberty to proclaim it, we are living in a famine of truth!  Ironically, the very reason we lack truth, and are thus weak in representing Him as He really is, may be directly tied to the fruit of our own Christian heritage – an expansion of knowledge and liberty!  In such a long-term climate of faith in freedom, we have lost sight of the fact that a necessary part of pure Christianity is, that along the Christian walk of freedom we must also have serious challenges to our faith. This is the element that develops pure Christianity, and that has not been a part of the average American Christian life.  I believe the Spirit of the Lord put the following statement in my mind that sums up how we arrived where we are spiritually today: “Where Christianity has room to roam under man’s domain, it will eventually become man’s Christianity.”   In light of that statement, let us consider re-considering our present path of faith.

In the case of America, the Bible has been greatly revered.  It was made a part of the fabric of our society from the beginning.  Thus, Christianity has had “room to roam under man’s domain.”  But with the carnal man in charge, we have gradually reshaped the Bible’s message to fit a carnal mold – not a completely depraved carnal mold, mind you, but one that we believe will still contain the Bible.  One good example of this is that we have stretched the meaning of “God’s grace” far beyond its limits.  Today, grace is no longer interpreted to mean God’s “unmerited favor” and God’s “enablement of us to do His will,” as so clearly stated throughout the Bible; but rather, God’s grace in our present culture means “God tolerant.”  In other words: “I’m ok!  You’re ok!  Everybody’s ok!”  Just plain… “OK!”  You see, my friend, we have too much honor for God and the Bible to do away with them altogether, but we have grown to believe that the truth they represent is relative – therefore we relate the message of truth in light of the comfort zone of our own carnal understanding.  We have taken our liberties in truth for granted, and are blinded thereby.  We are so blind that we cannot see how we have reinterpreted it to fit neatly into the mold of a lie.

We must remember that all people have the natural tendency to interpret the Bible in light of his or her unique circumstances; that is, the poor have the tendency to think that God wants us all to be poor; or the rich have the tendency to think that God wants us all to be rich.  America’s believers had better reevaluate what they believe in the light of those believers whose record we have in the Bible as our example of good and/or evil.  God made clear to Old Covenant Israel that with the abundance of blessing lies the subtle and dangerous temptation to become spoiled.  This happens as a result of interpreting God and His eternal truths in light of those temporal blessings only, rather than in light of the truth whereby we receive them.  The same errors Israel made in reinterpreting God through the lens of their carnal desires have also been made by us.  May God have mercy on us and change us from Americanized Christians to those who possess a pure Christ-likeness.

Worthy Quotes:

Jonathan Edwards: "A true love of God must begin with a delight in his holiness."

G. K. Chesterton: "The coziness between church and the state is good for the state and bad for the church."

Clarence Jordan: "The measure of a Christian is not in the height of his grasp but in the depth of his love."

Stanley Baldwin: "
I am one of those who would rather sink with faith than swim without it."

Leonard Ravenhill: "Today's church wants to be raptured from responsibility."

Today's Word: Church

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven (Matthew 16:18-19).

And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him that fills all in all. (Ephesians 1:22-23)

No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. (I John 4:12)

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
(Rom 12:1-2)

And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. (Rom 13:11-14)

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
(1Co 6:9-11)

God's Mystery Revealed!

"...Christ in you, the hope of glory!"
Colossians 1:27

My! Christ in us seems too much to imagine... really! But knowing that He IS there gives us the challenge to LET HIM SHINE through! But in what way do we do that?

This truth is the mystery of God hidden throughout all ages until the New Covenant.

At the time of this proclamation, Paul was making a comparison to what had been revealed up until that time through the Old Covenant. He was showing that, even with all that the Jews could have enjoyed through the glory of types and shadows of Christ, none of it compared with what God has done to reveal His glory in us! Our hope of His glory is CHRIST IN US! There would be no more types and shadows in order to "see" God, or to imagine Him at His best. Remember, the simple definition of the word glory is to show. Therefore, God's glory in us through Jesus Christ is "to show" Him! Showing God through us is what He has desired down through the ages, but He has reserved it for those on THIS SIDE of the Cross of Jesus Christ!

Even though all that sounds good and most would agree with it, most DO NOT realize to what extent He would reveal His glory in and through us for His name's sake. This is where we miss it sometimes, and it really costs us dearly - and costs Him dearly, too!  We need to allow Him to broaden our understanding for living out this mystery.

While doing good to others and demonstrating His love and compassion through our good works is very important, it can only be done best when we are truly doing so under His inspiration, His way. We are a thousand times MORE effective for His name's sake when we know, understand, and walk in HIS way - ten thousand times more! We should not only try to do what we think "Jesus would do"; but much more than that, we must surrender completely for HIM to do it through us as if HE were doing it! Do you get the difference? This difference is what those who truly love the Lord lack in their walk. (Hello? It is what WE all lack in our walk to some degree or another.) But He wants to take us there; and He IS working all things together in and around our lives to do just that - Christ IN YOU to be lived out exactly as His Spirit would reveal God to the world!

True Christianity and True Americanism -  Contradiction in Ideology
by: Mark S. Case

Thomas Jefferson, the writer of The Declaration of Independence, put forth what all rational people agree to be every man's God-given rights - his right to life, to liberty, and to the pursuit of happiness (fulfillment); and that those rights should be protected by government.  These are indeed the basic rights of humankind and the bedrock of the true spirit of America.  However, those inalienable human rights are in some ways at stark contrast with who we are to be individually as true Christians.  True Christianity fully enforces the need to protect God-given human rights for all people everywhere, but as a true Christian, I am called to another manner of living.  When we convolute human rights with the call of Christianity, we forsake the bedrock of our citizenship in heaven.

As a true Christian, my right to life is granted by dying to self; my right to liberty is granted within the confines of living the life of Jesus Christ; and my right to pursue happiness is granted by pursuing what makes God happy.  Thank God for the founder's spirit for an America that would protect rights for all people, but let us not confuse human freedoms with our freedoms in Christ as individual Christians.  When Christianity becomes too Americanized, it reduces the kingdom of Christianity to a world of Americanism; and this is exactly what has already happened.  As we defend America's liberties, let us not forget that as Christians our liberties are found in being bound to Jesus Christ.

Deceptive Devices Gaining Ground among the Cultural Christian Masses

1. Prophesying and guidance by numbers and quantum math - the fourth dimension and beyond
2. Misuse of Bible codes for predicting future events - kinship with fortune telling
3. Increase in angelic apparitions and their sayings - unquenchable appetite for the supernatural
4. Signs in the stars of heaven for guidance - zodiac
5. Stories going from imaginations to abominations - God is brought down to our vain imaginations
6. Overabundance of dreams, visions and heavenly visitations - an open heaven to earth
7. A lottery mentality among God's people - give one dollar and possibly gain a million
8. Motivational gospel speakers that make one feel good about himself - replacing true gospel preaching that allows someone to see himself as he really is so that he will cry out for the Savior, Jesus Christ
9. Covenant with someone financially and sharing their anointing

Which Simon are You?
by: Mary Kathryn Hughes

The New Testament is replete with many characters of various degrees of significance. Some of their stories we know by heart, but others are often overlooked due to their apparent lack of value. It seems that we tend to place worth only on those people about whom the Bible records greater detail. However, it is important not to merely pass over the understanding we could glean from the little-known characters.

An interesting study that takes this idea as its foundation includes a look at the various Simons of the New Testament.

A Prophet?

"As they departed, Jesus began to say to the multitudes concerning John: 'What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? But what did you go out to see?  A man clothed in soft garments?  Indeed, those who wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.  But what did you go out to see?  A prophet?  Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet.  For this is he of whom it is written: "Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way before You."'" Matthew 11:7-10 NKJV

There are many who claim to be a prophet today.  Our Lord said that there would be; this is nothing new.  There have always been those who have claimed to be so.  I would encourage you to observe their lives to see if they bear all the marks of a true prophet.  Are they distressed?  Are they persecuted in any way to speak of?  Are they living in "kings' houses"? Are they tried on every hand?  Are their lives marked by grief and mourning for the name of the Lord and the way that His people represent Him?  What makes you believe that your favorite "prophet" is indeed a true one?

I hope that it is not only because they may tell the future, or because they perform the spectacular.  Even the pharaoh's magicians worked the miraculous way back when the children of Israel were under his bondage.  I would encourage you to inquire about their lives.  Miracles may or may not accompany them, but two things are certain: they will speak the truth with an anointing, and they will be acquainted with difficult testings and trials.

Revelation 2 - 3

"As for me, I will call upon God, And the LORD shall save me.
Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice."

Things to Consider

  • America will never recover politically or economically to its former position of strength.
  • Americanized Christianity is collapsing with America.
  • God's true people in America and the world are few by comparison to those who claim Him.
  • To truly be of Him is not based upon personal merit, but rather solely upon the merits of Jesus' finished work.
  • Most of what appears to be "harvest" today is false. The greatest harvest will come as the church matures to His fullness.
  • The greatest harvest in America and the world is yet to come.
  • Those believers who actually "endure to the end" of what has just begun will experience a phenomenal revival before our Lord comes.
  • Regardless of the poor spiritual condition of Christianity and of the average local church, God is going to complete His work through the local church - just not the one that we recognize today.
  • While I have been called to declare these things and many more like them, I will be the first to admit that I have not "arrived" either.  Nonetheless, I am pressing toward the mark of His high calling; and I have been given insight because of my calling in the Lord.  I pray that you are edified.
I have boldly shared these things, and many more like them, since the late nineties.

Quick Facts

1.      The economic crisis that we are in is not just a cyclical problem that will solve itself with the help of "new money."

2.
Christians who have laid up "treasures" for safekeeping only (without the specific instruction of the Spirit) will see that those treasures will suddenly vanish – without notice.

3.
Those who are praying for America to be restored to financial greatness have not discerned the will of God for our times.

4.      Christianity’s strength in America today, and in much of the world, is dependent upon America’s economic strength and individual liberties.  Cultural Christians are praying for a strengthening of America as it always has been, since without it they will be at a loss.

5.
I believe that we have just a couple of years or so to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ openly on the airwaves in America – without censorship.

6.
The evangelical system is on the verge of collapse; and much of it will realign into a single ecumenical religious system.  Many believers within that system will collapse with it, and evolve into it; many others will come out and form small-group churches in homes and other out-of-the-way places - it is among these small churches that God will build the image of Jesus Christ.

7.

Christianity will become much purer for many believers, when we no longer have Americanism to prop ourselves up with.  We will learn to stand upon the Rock of Jesus Christ!  Hallelujah!

8.
America's leadership is seeking a smooth transition for steering America into a one-world political, economic, and religious system.  In the long run, that will happen; but before we become so "one" with the rest of the world, America will suffer great and terrible judgments herself.  Do not blame "sinners" for all the judgments that are coming upon America.  Much of these are due to the poor representation of Jesus Christ that America's Christianity has so boldly displayed.

"The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together..." Psalm 2:2a

"Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing?  The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, 'Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.' He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure:"  Psalm 2:1-5 NKJV

"Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, and it will be a ruinous heap.  The cities of Aroer (Syria) are forsaken; they will be for flocks which lie down, and no one will make them afraid.  The fortress also will cease from Ephraim, the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria; they will be as the glory of the children of Israel,' Says the Lord of hosts."  Isaiah 17:1-3 NKJV

"...whom shall I [we] fear?  The Lord is the strength of my [our] life; of whom shall I [we] be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1 NKJV)

Notice what the Lord says about those He raises up against His people: "But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.  As yet you exalt yourself against My people..."  (Exodus 9:16-17a
NKJV)

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was raised up by the Lord as a guide to the blind and a master of iniquity.  Do not fear him.  God will use him to do His bidding.  These kinds of men speak great swelling words, boasting in themselves - roaring like a lion seeking whom they may devour.  They, like all other devils, are in the palm of God's hand.  Look what He says about them: "He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall hold them in derision [as one who mocks them]" (Psalm 2:4
NKJV).

Our Ministry Mission...

The mission of The Father's Field Ministries is to exalt the Person of Jesus Christ throughout the earth as He really is - God's Son, and the only Savior for mankind.

We confess the frailties that plague humankind through our sin nature, and we admit the need for our total transformation in salvation through God's grace and faith in the Person and work of Jesus Christ alone.  We recognize the continuing battle that all of God's people face as we seek to become like Him in a fallen world.  It is our desire to build up the body of Christ in a maturing, sanctifying faith.  We believe that the Bible makes abundantly clear that it is through the local church setting, as God designed it, that the fullness of Jesus Christ may best be realized.  The present day evangelical system does not reflect God's design, and He is on the verge of changing it altogether.

We are proclaiming the things that are bringing about that change, and we are encouraging others to enter into Him in preparation for all that change will bring.

Judases Abound

The number of those who drink from the same cup, but who are actually traitors, is multiplying exponentially these days.

These are men among us, caught up in themselves.  By pride they have gained and maintained the attention of the same crowds that, for whatever reason, wanted to throng Jesus.  Like Lucifer before the fall, they love being in close proximity to the throne of the jesus that cultural Christianity has created.  They stand out in the crowd, running where the Lord has not sent them, raising themselves up above the throne so that all can see.  Like Lucifer, they lead emotionally charged worship and prayer, and even deliver a message (Ezekiel 28:14).  The mesmerized multitudes sway with the spirits of many abominations as they adore the jesus they are comfortable with.  Consider re-reading Second Peter, chapter two, prayerfully.

Take care.  One of them may be one of your favorite Christian guides!

Sound the Trumpet!

"'Now, therefore,' says the Lord, 'turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.'  So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from doing harm.  Who knows if He will turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind Him - a grain offering and a drink offering for the Lord your God? Blow the trumpet in Zion,  consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly; gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children and nursing babes; let the bridegroom go out from his chamber, and the bride from her dressing room.  Let the priests, who minister to the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar; let them say, 'Spare Your people, O Lord, and do not give Your heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them.  Why should they say among the peoples, "Where is their God?"'"

Joel 2:12-17 NKJV

Ease and Tranquility - things of the past?

Around the world, true believers in Jesus Christ are in the midst of a great battle.  In some places, His loyal followers are ostracized and scorned by the society in which they find themselves.  In other places, believers are martyred daily.  In the United States, new battle lines are being drawn as well.  Where once upon a time our government leaned toward truth and right, it now abides in darkness and teaches men so.  A government once declared to be “of the people, by the people, and for the people” has become of itself, by itself, and for itself.  The failure of our government to operate from the foundation of truth is about to drastically change the dynamics by which American Christians have lived for more than a century.  We need to be preparing right now for a new kind of lifestyle – one where the profession of our faith will be tested to know whether there is any truth to it or not.  Very soon, gone will be the days of ease.  The “Land of Goshen” is about to become a boiling cauldron where all the dross is forced to the top.  As with the children of Israel who experienced a stripping away through their wilderness journey, so our hearts will also be revealed.

The changing of the guard of America’s government is not the only tool God is using to do a purifying work.  There are many other age-old tests and trials that are on the increase, too.  It will be like the waves of the sea that never cease pounding relentlessly against the sand.  Sheer fatigue caused by the enemy’s constant attack will present a scrupulous examination of our confession.  We will see what we are made of.  We will know whether we have been rendering lip-service or life-service.  Some will be shockingly surprised!  Others will be at rest; and God will be pleased, for those who claim to represent Him will finally do so with the purity that He longs for.

Are you resolved to remain strong in Him, or will you sway with the temptation to give in?  Perhaps you should not be so quick to answer that question.  The apostle Peter quickly swore that He would NEVER forsake the Lord, even if it meant his death; but he just as quickly failed when his time of testing came.

It is not so important that we make such a bold confession of personal confidence at this time, as it is that we prepare ourselves, building ourselves up in “the most holy faith.”  We should “lay aside every weight and those things that so easily beset us.”  We should “press on toward the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus.”  We should be certain that we are “keeping the faith” and being “good stewards of the gift of His grace”; and we should be prepared to “give an answer to every man concerning this hope,” according to the Word of Truth.

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Eph. 6:11NKJV).

“Finally, brethren… Become complete.  Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you” (II Cor. 13:11NKJV).

“… whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things”  (Phil. 4:8NKJV).

There's Hope in the Eye of the Storm!

The Lord told His disciples to "watch and pray." We need to do so as well, especially in the midst of these troubling times. However, we must also offer hope just as Jesus offered hope in the midst of the storm.  There are those who need to be reminded that He has not forgotten His promises toward us.  While we prophecy doom to the world, we should also proclaim hope to those who seek Him for who He really is.

While we are surrounded with difficulty and new challenges to our faith every day, we have hope - hope that our Lord's promises are sure and that we are in the palm of His mighty, loving hand; hope that we are being conformed into His glorious image day by day; hope that we are going to experience a great outpouring of His Holy Spirit soon; and hope that He is coming again to take us to be with Him forever! We should watch and pray, not because we fear doom, but so that we will be ready to overcome its trials and so that we might guide many others toward our hope when it does come!

"Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit" (Romans 15:13 NKJV).

"Where Christianity has room to roam under man's domain, it will eventually become man's Christianity."

Picture
Such is the case with much of America's Christianity today.  In many ways, it has been fashioned according to our own understanding, to fit our own selfish desires.  We are far off His path in far too many cases, and many do not even realize it.  We do not mean that everyone should wear a suit and tie or sing hymns of yesteryear, though there may be nothing wrong with that.  However, we do mean that there is a fine line between being relevant to today's culture with the gospel and not being conformed to that culture. Only real repentance of having crossed over that line will bring us into real revival that translates into true Christ-likeness; and only true Christ-likeness will aid us in truly winning a lost world. This is our earnest prayer for all of us.

Mark S. Case

"GOD'S PEOPLE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF BECOMING DESPERATE FOR HIM AS HE REALLY IS."

Let us let Him have His way in and through us!  We cannot earn it, neither can we work ourselves into His measure.  It is a work that only He can do.  Rest and trust in Him!

"For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure" (Philippians 2:13
).

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:10).

Changed into the Image of Christ?

Picture
"Religion today is not transforming people; rather it is being transformed by the people.  It is not raising the moral level of society; it is descending to society's own level, and congratulating itself that it has scored a victory because society is smilingly accepting its surrender."
A. W. Tozer (1897-1963)

"...that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin..."

Picture
Some call them the "ten-der commandments."  God's own testimony begs to differ.  They were meant to be delivered with His righteous authority in order to transfer the fear of a righteous God to an unrighteous hearer...so that we may not sin!

The fear of God is a necessary tool God uses to turn the sinner from his sin - even the one who is born again, but who is dabbling in sin.  The Spirit of God spoke to Jeremiah, saying, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?"[Jer. 17:9
NKJV]  It is the fear of God that arrests the heart of man - even in those who have received spiritual new birth through faith in Jesus Christ.  Even though we have received His Spirit, and all commandments have been written on our hearts, we live in a fallen world that commands our constant attention.  If we are not careful, it will influence us to believe and practice things that are far from the Spirit's walk.  After the Spirit has convicted us time and again, but to no avail, we grieve Him to such a degree that He waits silently for our fall, so that He may then show us the way. Reading and meditating on the Truth revealed in the Bible will help us stay clean.  It is a constant reminder of those things that we may otherwise let slip away.

Meditating on the Ten Commandments by the Spirit will reveal things in the heart of every believer that he has covered over.  This is why I encourage everyone to read them with spiritual insight as Jesus Christ delivered them in truth.  They were never, and are not now, meant to condemn, but rather to reveal an evil heart and to deliver us from the practice of sin against the Lord.

In recent years, as a backlash to our government's condemnation of God's commands, there has been renewed vigor to post The Ten Commandments on private property everywhere.  I agree that there should be a reawakening to observe God's righteous ways, and reading these commandments should be a part of that reawakening.  However, they should be not only posted on your property, but read and meditated upon so that, by the Spirit, they may speak to the heart.  It is a mockery to simply place them on a plaque and hang them in or outside the office if one does not also give allegiance to them.  It is like posting and boasting the name of Jesus and trampling on it at the same time.

Jesus Christ continued to teach these commandments when He was here.  He said they would never change.  He did not do away with them; but He expounded upon their meaning as they related to the heart - for it was the heart that God was, and is, trying to reach and to change.  I would encourage you to re-read the Ten Commandments, then to read them as Jesus Christ delivered them in the four gospels.  Meditate on them and ask the Holy Spirit to show you the depth of what they intend to reveal in your heart at this very moment.  If you do, you will be sure to find yourself wanting, just like I do.  Hopefully, we will repent honestly in the fear of the Lord and turn to Him with our whole hearts.

May the fear of the Lord return to us in truth, by the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ.

"And God spoke all these words, saying: 'I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. (1) You shall have no other gods before Me. (2) You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. (3) You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain. (4) Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. (5) Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you. (6) You shall not murder. (7) You shall not commit adultery. (8)You shall not steal. (9) You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. (10) You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.' Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off. Then they said to Moses, 'You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.' And Moses said to the people, 'Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.'" (Exodus 20:1-20 NKJV)

A Blessed Generation for Those Who Stand

"He also brought them out with silver and gold, and there was none feeble among His tribes. Egypt was glad when they departed, for the fear of them had fallen upon them. He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light in the night" (Ps. 105:37-39 NKJV).

How quickly we forget that, while passing through the Red Sea, the children of God were abundantly blessed with the riches of Egypt, and there was none feeble among them!

The last generation of God’s people who served as Egypt’s slaves escaped not only as a free people but also as a people lavished with Egypt’s very best treasures; God put such fear in the hearts of their cruel taskmasters that His people were begged to follow their freedom with gifts. WOW! Why was God doing this? Was it not enough that they would be set free? Would they need silver and gold for the wilderness journey?

While it is true that they were going to need earthly treasures to make the tabernacle instruments of worship, there is yet another important message here. I believe that it is relevant for our last generation church.

A primary reason that God put it in the hearts of Egypt to bestow their valuables on their former slaves was that God knew His people had earned them – the valuables of Egypt actually belonged to them! It was rightfully theirs! God’s children had been enslaved under the bondage of the cruel taskmasters of Egypt for more than four hundred years without pay, and He was going to see that they got paid! Hallelujah!

WE SHALL ALSO REAP A BLESSING
Moses’ generation reaped the reward that every generation before him had been robbed of while they were enslaved to Egypt! How exciting it must have been for them! Now – imagine this! In the same way, I believe that this final generation of faithful believers may reap the reward of the generations before us throughout all the church age who have largely been enslaved and robbed of their spiritual blessings while under the cruel taskmaster of Satan’s servants! It is out of this glorious reaping that we shall become the Glorious Church! The difference is that Moses’ generation reaped the silver and gold of this world, not having received the better covenant with better promises that we have received; thus, we shall be lavished with the abounding riches of the gifts of the Holy Spirit – the gifts that most of the New Covenant church has been robbed of for nearly two thousand years – robbed by the doctrines of greedy, self-serving, tower-building, religious men! Hallelujah!

"Their descendants shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people. All who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the posterity whom the Lord has blessed. I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as the earth brings forth its bud, as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations" (Isaiah 61:9-11 NKJV).

Be Encouraged!  God's Timing is Perfect!

"But the angel said to him, 'Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth' " (Luke 1:13-14 NKJV).

By all appearances, this couple should have been the perfect candidates for a quiver full of blessed children. After all, each of them had a family lineage that connected them to the priesthood, and according to the scriptures they "were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless"; but still, "they had no child." What could have been the problem? It is obvious that they had wanted children all those years because the angel Gabriel so much as said that the child to be was in response to Zacharias' prayers. Could it have been that they didn't know how to believe God? Could it have been that one or both of them had a health-related illness that prevented conception? Could it have been a generational curse? Could it have been that, in spite of their righteous standing before God, one of them did or said something in their long, long past that penalized them? Fortunately, we can easily say no to all these and clearly see the answer.

Little did they know that through all those wondering years, God's hand was so near them that He was reserving their moment of victory for an extra special hour in order to give them an extra special son, the forerunner of Jesus Christ. Wow! Had they only known years before, it may have averted a lot of anxieties and frustrations. However, more importantly, it might also have averted a lot of much-needed faith as well; it might have averted so much faith that it wouldn't have come to pass at all.

You may have been praying and waiting for something for many years; you believe that, to the best of your ability, by the grace of God, you are seeking to please and obey Him as well. However, as far as seeing the fruit of your prayers, you are barren.

I want to encourage you to continue praying and believing, without asking so many questions that you may destroy your faith; but rather, join with Mary, the mother of Jesus, who upon hearing the news of her own miracle son, said, "Let it be to me according to your word."

Are "Stephen Preachers" for Today?

"'You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you. Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute?  And they killed those who foretold the coming of the Just One, of whom you now have become the betrayers and murders, who have received the law by the direction of angels and have not kept it.'  When they heard these things they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth.  But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, and said, 'Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!'  Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord; and they cast him out of the city and stoned him.  And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, 'Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.'  Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, 'Lord, do not charge them with this sin.'  And when he had said this, he fell asleep."  Acts 7:51-60 NKJV

A "Stephen preacher" is one who boldly proclaims truth to hardened religious people, particularly to leaders who, through their perceived knowledge about God, hold His people in religious bondage.

It should be noted that Stephen was more than just an angry man.  He was angry, for sure - but it was not born out of his flesh - quite different from many who are angry due to the religiosity of Christianity today.  We should be careful and prayerful to be certain that our strike against forms of Christianity is not born out of the flesh but out of the Spirit. Stephen's anger was inspired by the Spirit and aimed at those who had such hard religious hearts that God stopped up their ears.  His righteous anger was due to his jealousy for God's name, and for His people; it was not due to a desire to vindicate a personal grievance against religion.

The apostle Paul was also angered by false shepherds.  He
was jealous for God's name and for those put in bondage by them.  When he confronted their false message, they followed him from city to city, to have him either incarcerated or stoned to death.

There are several ways we may judge what Stephen and Paul did - and Jesus also, for that matter - and whether God would still raise up preachers like that today.  Some may conclude that we live in a more civil era, when such a heated debate is out of order and unnecessary.  But I say that this is the very root of the problem that true believers suffer. No leader is willing to stand in their behalf, even though it may stir a great debate. Others would say that we need peace and harmony within Christianity's religious circles - that there are enough points of division already.  But I say that this is an excuse inspired by the enemy.  There is not a single Biblical truth that would lead us to be passive for the sake of preventing the right kind of division.

We must remember that the Lord came bringing a sword - the Word of Truth.  He also came to "send fire on the earth" - the coming of the Spirit.  Everywhere He went, grace and truth went forth with a clarion call to all, but with it came division and turmoil, too.

Stephen's sermon was inspired by the Holy Spirit to speak to zealots, blinded by their love for religion. Today, there are millions of religious zealots just like those Stephen, Paul, and Jesus preached to.  They are in leadership for sure; but also, they are sitting up and down the pews of churches everywhere.  Some may agree with this observation to a point, but they give the excuse that the problem in sharing so boldly among the masses is that there are also millions among them who truly love God and want to walk in His truth. But this is the very reason that we need to proclaim it - to set free those who are bound by the religious zealots and their religious system.

Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice."  When the Word of Truth is put forth to the masses, many are convicted and repent, many become angry and reject the Word, and many sheep are enlightened thereby and set on a new course for freedom in Christ.  Our job is to put forth His truth in the Spirit of Jesus Christ.  This is the key.  He will be responsible for doing the separating.

Yes, we desperately need more "Stephen preachers."  But we must be careful to be motivated and guided by the Spirit of the Lord and not by the anger of the flesh.  "The wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God."  However, if God's message of salt and light is followed by division and turmoil, so be it.

Self-Will is Still Our #1 Problem

The Bible begins by reciting the creation story – the truth about how all things were made.  Of course, God played the leading role as the Creator of all things.  In only thirty-one verses we see a brand new universe created and displayed on God’s eternal stage.  With just a little bit of faith and imagination, the reader immediately gets a first glance at God’s awesome greatness and goodness.  Here God tells how He literally spoke all things into existence; and He declares that He made all things good, too.  On the seventh day He rested, having created a new addition to His vast domain – a world of wonder and glory, crowned with good.  It was a world without sin.

Then suddenly, in chapter three, the Genesis account abruptly recites another story – the creation of yet another world within God’s new domain – a world of sin!

Unlike the first creation story, God does not play the leading role.  Man does.  In the creation of sin God was not involved at all.  Man brought forth sin all by himself; and it is by this same independence that man continues in sin today.  He insists on his own way.  This is still the central problem for all humankind.  The creature still tries to live his life independent of the Creator, except, of course, when he really needs Him.  Then he runs to God for help.  This pattern repeats itself time and time again until it shapes man into a robotic creature driven to God only by his wants and needs.  This was NOT the kind of sons and daughters that God desired to produce when He designed His redemption plan.

Yes, most people, including believers, still seek their own independence until it does not accomplish all they had hoped for.  It is only then that they truly surrender their independence to God.

This is a primary reason why the largest churches and other Christian gatherings throughout the United States are SO large.  They are directed by exceptional communicators with a positive message.  They are motivational speakers who use inspirational stories from the Bible, as well as other unique stories, to make people feel good about themselves, encouraging them until they have the confidence to get to the place they desire in life.

It is also why some who promise fantasy rewards in exchange for sowing seeds into their personal ministries are so wealthy themselves.  How convenient.  Many who do such are false.  How convenient.  It is only natural that everyone wants to be blessed so that their needs and/or wants are supplied for; and the worse the economy becomes, the more people are willing to take risks in the lottery of faith when persuaded by wolves in sheep's clothing.  We must be careful that those to whom we are committing our resources are not just skillful communicators disguised as "angels of light."

We are to seek God that we might increase in His wisdom, knowledge, and spiritual understanding - identifying with Jesus Christ in death to self, and allowing Him to live out His righteous, victorious life through us.  Then He will clearly show us what to give, when and where.  Then we can be sure to reap His blessings!

SUMMARY: Let us guard our hearts.  Beware of those who promise to meet needs or wants through one-time, spontaneous giving based upon an emotional appeal.  Be slow to get all excited by skillful motivational speakers and their speeches based upon a moving Biblical text.  Take heed before you enter into what some call "faith-covenant partnerships."  We already have a covenant with God.  We should seriously consider what God says before entering into any kind of mutual agreement that guarantees to fix our immediate problem.  Let us be careful in all these things, lest we end up running with the masses of cultural Christianity who chase a Santa Claus God of their own imagination.

From Imaginations to Abominations

The Shack, one man's story of imaginations put into print, boasts of itself as a rejuvenating spiritual experience.  Catering especially to Christians, a conservative figure of one million copies has been sold, and it is getting rave reviews from some of the most popular members of cultural Christianity, like recording artist Michael W. Smith, and Wynonna Judd; also the famed author of The Message Bible, Eugene Peterson, compares it to Pilgrims Progress. However, Dr. Michael Youssef presents a rare message concerning its dangerous heresies. Those specific charges are listed below. Click here to go directly Dr. Youssef's message, where he clearly reveals the abominations set forth in The Shack.

I never cease to be amazed at what some Christians become entangled with in these last days.  The apostasy as Paul prophesied is already firmly established.  It only needs a single, consistent structure with all "faiths" involved together in order to be more evident to all.

According to Bible-grounded Christians, the following heresies are put forth through The Shack.

1. God the Father was crucified with Jesus.

2. God is limited by His love and cannot practice justice.
3. On the Cross, God forgave all of humanity, whether they repent or not. Some choose a relationship with Him, but He forgives them all regardless.

4. Hierarchical structures, whether they are in the Church or in the government, are evil.

5. God will never judge people for their sins.
6. There is not a hierarchical structure in the Godhead, just a circle of unity.

7. God submits to human wishes and choices.
8. Justice will never take place because of love.

9. There is no such a thing as eternal judgment or torment in hell.

10. Jesus is walking with all people in their different journeys to God, and it doesn't matter which way you get to Him.

11. Jesus is constantly being transformed along with us.

12. There is no need for faith or reconciliation with God because everyone will make it to heaven.
13. The Bible is not true because it reduces God to paper.

God's Winter for the World has Come                                                                   by:Ms Lydia Hamby

Even as the annual winter season for the northern hemisphere is nearing its end, there is another kind of winter for the whole world that is just coming on,  and it shall not end.  This should come as no surprise, since God told us long ago that one day He would fold up the earth like a garment, and that heaven and earth would enter a season for passing away; this season would be called "the beginnings of sorrows," but the very end is not yet.

Does Not God Judge His Own House?

"For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? Now, 'If the righteous one is scarcely saved, where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?'" (I Peter 4:17-18 NKJV).

"But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, 'As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.' So then each of us shall give account of himself to God" (Romans 14:10-12 NKJV).

All "Faiths" One?

American leadership, both inside the White House and within the evangelical system, is certainly doing its part to bring all "faiths" together for a common cause.  It is all done in the name of compassion and for the sake of "peace."  For insight into this important subject, click here.

Contribute

The Father's Field Ministries is a non-profit organization, and those who contribute financially will receive a tax-deductible receipt just as if they were giving to any other non-profit organization, such as a local church.

We are not supported by a local church or business, so we look to those who are being ministered to to help supply for meeting our needs (I Corinthians 9:11). As we are supplied for, we have the opportunity to teach and proclaim God's message for the Body today.

A believer's first giving priority should be to his or her local church, but we meet believers often who realize that the local church where they attend is not seeking to follow the will and way of God's Spirit, yet they continue to support the same church with hundreds of dollars each month.  As long as the Spirit leads you to keep attending, you should also support the work financially, but unless the Spirit of the Lord has planted you there, you may be aiding a work that is not born of God.

As God gives you the ability and desire, please consider supporting us financially too, so that we might give more of our time and energy to you through our ongoing ministry to the overall Body of Christ, which is in much need of spiritual repair.  To contribute,

Come and Drink...

Picture
"On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, 'If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.  He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.'  But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified" (John 7:37-39 NKJV).

He Holds the Keys!

Have no fear!  Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ holds the keys!

Jesus said, "'Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.  I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore.  Amen.  And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.'"'

Love One Another

The apostle John became known as "the beloved" because he was referred to as "the one whom Jesus loved" (John13:25, 21:20).  Perhaps this is the reason that John spoke about love more than Matthew, Mark, and Luke altogether.  Forty-seven times John spoke of the love of God, or of our call to love Him and each another.  The apostle Paul spoke of love seventy-eight times, avidly teaching that love in its truest sense is the height of godliness (God-likeness).  Jesus taught that the greatest commandment is love - love toward God first, and fellow man second.  John further elaborated on these two great commandments by saying that unless we love our "brothers," we cannot love God.  Indeed, the whole Bible illustrates, and the New Testament reiterates, that "love fulfills the whole law" (Rom. 13:8, 10; Gal. 5:14; James 2:8).

Finally, we see that for the believer love is not only a noun, but it is a verb - an action word.  For example, "By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us.  And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?  My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him"  (I John 3:16-19 NKJV).

Narrow is the Way...

Our Lord said, "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.  Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."  Matthew 7:13-14 NKJV

Designed by God - Set Apart for Him

11 Rescue those being led away to death;
hold back those staggering toward slaughter.

If you say, "But we knew nothing about this,"
does not He who weighs the heart perceive it?
